I recently finished a great “mom” book. Blue Like Play Dough.
This was one of those books where each chapter I found something that I could totally relate with in my own life. And I loved it because it was insightful and caused me to look inside. It also was refreshing and renewed my delight and joy for motherhood. Of course I am always blessed to be a mom but you know sometimes things can get overwhelming, and once in a while I need to be reminded that being a mother is the most amazing gift in the world.
However a huge part of me wants to grow; in everything, especially in my role as a mother. This book helped me see how being a mother is causing growth in many areas of who I am. Tricia Goyer is very down-to-earth and uses examples from her own life that prove she is imperfect just like me:)
I LOVED this book. It was a quick, interesting read but made me think at the same time. I highly, highly recommend it for moms in many seasons and stages of motherhood. Kudos to Tricia Goyer for being authentic, transparent, funny and brilliant!
Quick, go pick up a book for yourself or a friend! You can find Blue Like Play Dough online here or at your local bookstore:) Below you will find summary info for the book as well as for the author.
